Plan a date without weekends

  1. Choose a start date, or use your device’s today.
  2. Select Add or Subtract and a whole number of business days.
  3. Calculate and copy the resulting ISO date, weekday and counting convention.

The 5, 10 and 20 business day presets select Add and keep your chosen start date. They update the inputs without calculating.

Examples: Friday, 2026-10-23 + 1 business day = Monday, 2026-10-26. Sunday, 2026-10-25 − 5 business days = Monday, 2026-10-19. Thursday, 2026-12-24 + 1 business day = Friday, 2026-12-25, even where that Friday is a holiday.

To count every calendar day, including weekends, use Add / subtract days. Already know both dates? Use Date difference.

How business days are counted

Are public holidays excluded?

No. Monday–Friday only; holidays are not excluded. Any holiday on a weekday is counted. Saturdays and Sundays are always skipped, including weekend makeup workdays. No country, bank or company holiday calendars are used.

Is the start date counted?

No. For a nonzero offset, counting starts after or before the start date. From a weekend, Add 1 reaches the next Monday and Subtract 1 reaches the previous Friday. Zero business days returns the start date, even on a weekend.

What are the limits?

Use a real Gregorian date from 1600-01-01 through 2399-12-31 and a whole quantity from 0 to 208710. The result must also fit this date range. A large quantity may be valid as input but out of range for your start date and direction. Leap years are handled automatically. Results use YYYY-MM-DD and an English weekday.

Can this determine an official deadline?

Use this for ordinary planning with a fixed Monday–Friday week. Official rules, holidays, working weekends, time of day and regional calendars may differ. Check the relevant rule before relying on a legal, financial or eligibility deadline.

Are my inputs or results saved?

No. Dates, quantities and results stay in this page’s memory and clear when you leave. They are never added to the URL, browser storage, analytics or feedback automatically. A clipboard write already sent to your operating system cannot be undone by clearing this page.
